Humberto Manuel de Jesus Coelho is a Portuguese retired central defender who spent much of his career with Benfica. He also played professionally in France and the United States over a 16-year span. A key figure for Portugal, he earned more than 60 caps and served as captain on 30 occasions.

Born in Cedofeita, Porto, Coelho reached Benfica's first team at age 18. He made his Portugal debut on 27 October 1968 against Romania. In the mid-70s, he played two seasons abroad for Paris Saint-Germain before returning to Benfica. There, he added three more league titles and four domestic cups to his collection. His international career ended at age 33 after a severe injury during Euro 1984 qualifiers.
